3 pages in length. Public safety depends upon the ability of effective communication between and among those in criminal justice. From dispatchers who must relay the correct address when summoning emergency services to a private citizen's home (where the difference between saying "street" and "drive" can determine whether the victim receives timely attention) to the chief of police whose job description is to oversee the collective communication throughout the entire department/force, the act of being in contact with and providing accurate information to others is a critical component of effective criminal justice action.
